Okay, I have a confession to make. I am OBSESSED with Mini Coopers. I’m not sure when or why i decided they were so awesome. It probably all started after i watched the movie “Italian Job.” If you’ve ever seen it, you probably wanted to get a Mini Cooper after watching it too. I also think the reason they became so appealing to me is because they are small, cute, and have a fast sports car feel. Some even come with an easy convertible top. Seems like a perfect fit for my blonde, summer loving, twenty-three year old self. So even though i have always like Mini Coopers and thought they were a fun and cool car to have, i didn’t realize they were also a smart choice.
This last year i was able to visit San Francisco for the very first time (which i will add was amazing and you should definitely visit if you get the chance). One of the first things i noticed was how many Mini Coopers there were. They were EVERYWHERE. Literally, you couldn’t go one block without seeing one and sometimes there were even multiple parked on one street. This boggled my mind because even though i knew they were cool cars, i had no idea so many people had them. I then started a little research on Mini Coopers to see why they were so popular in San Fran and found that they are actually a really great car and a very smart choice.
Mini Coopers are especially great in highly populated Urban cities. Because they are so small they are easier to manuver and much, much easier to park. Which comes in handy when you live in a place like San Francisco where driving is insane and parking is extremely hard to find. But not only are they small and easy to get around, they are also decently priced and get good gas mileage.
According to MSN Autos, the 2012 Mini Cooper, which is produced by BMW, is priced between $19,500 and $35,100, the price range depending on the specs that come with it. Its gas mileage runs at around 25-29 mpg in the city and 33-37 mpg on the highway. It comes with either a Standard engine, a Horsepower engine, or a Torque engine. All models are a four-passenger car, while most are a two-door vehicle, there is also a bigger version that has four doors and a bigger trunk space. MSN also noted that Mini Coopers have been tested and are proven to be very safe cars.
No wonder so many people are getting Mini Coopers! They are all around great cars! They are super cute, decently priced, safe, get great gas mileage, are easy to manuever in a big city, AND they come in a convertible top! Can you see now why i am so obsessed? I think i need to get one asap!
